The Type 95 “
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
”. Translates as “BLACK STEEL”. Yes, it’s 4wd. Yes, it’s also so tiny that it’s probably outweighed by most side-by-side ATVs. Yes further, it looks like a barrelnose Ford truck as seen through a smashed kaleidoscope prism while on LSD.
Is it insanely rare? Well, of course. Less than 5,000 were made, and for a wartime vehicle used by the Japanese across the islands, that’s not a good survival prospect. Some of the only ones that exist appear to be the one above, a wreck on a south seas island, one in a museum with its wheels off, and... this one:

Its like it was in a cars movie first, and THEN brought into the real world.

That’s kind of it, really. It doesn’t look like it could possibly be a real car. It’s all these little
ideas
of what a 30s-40s Jeep-ish car should look like, rolled up into a ball, compressed, and then actually built. It’s a Jeep, it’s an Opel Blitz, it’s a Benz command car, a Kubelwagen, a Dodge WC... all rolled into one and turned into an angry dwarf. With
style.

You could just build one. It's small enough.

I wish. I really do. That would be so impossible to guess a bot playing 20 questions could try hundreds of times and not get it, and
if he could find one for sale,
he could easily afford it. The acme of “rare, but not in demand”, not to mention “usable every day, but utterly insane”.

Wonder if there are any left in China, being used as farm implements.

While this is true, that feels like cheating somehow. Though there are few enough pieces you could match everything nearly perfectly, down to the labels in Chrysanthemum-laden Emperor-crazy Japanese.

There could very well be. I mean, I don’t speak Russian and skipped through the video, but the one in Russia appears to be “so somebody around here just has one for hyucks, lol”.

Still not as cool as an LJ10.
Unless it’s a 2-stroke.

It’s not a two-stroke, but it *is* a 1.4L 33hp air-cooled OHV V-twin. I would argue that crank start is a point in its favor.

The Jeep: designed to fit four troops. The Kurogane: “Nah, three dudes, and only if they don’t bring gear, are tiny, and really friendly.”
